The Wadena Area Replant Project (treesforwadena.com) was created by a group of citizens, business owners and the Wadena Soil and Water Conservation District to help those in the Wadena area and surrounding communities who lost their trees in the June 17th tornado.
Our primary goal at this time is to raise funds for the purchase of 10,000 trees. Currently donations are being accepted via GiveMN.org and the Initiative Foundation. See our Donate page for more information.
We are expecting to have a wide variety of trees/shrubs available to plant and will be looking for voluteers to help with planting in the spring of 2011. Visit our Trees to Plant page for a list of trees we expect to have available for planting in the spring.
